Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan sees 4x jump, sells over 8 lac tickets two days before release

It is just two days to Jawan’s theatrical release and one can see the craze about the film. Shah Rukh Khan fans have made sure that the movie receives immense love and they have showed it through filling up theatres that play Jawan. Within just a day’s span, the number of seats booked went up nearly four times While the number of seats booked for Jawan were merely 2 lacs till September 4, the scenario changed on September 5.

Jawan advance booking so far

Approximately 8 lac tickets are booked for Jawan so far. This is reported by Sacnilk. According to Taran Adarsh, 2,46,000 Jawan tickets were sold till 10.45 am on September 4. The movie had sold only 50,000 tickets till September 1 .

Will it cross Pathaan collections?

The 4x jump in the number of tickets booked shows that Jawan might just be able to beat Pathaan to become the highest grossing film of the year and make more records. For the uninitiated, with Rs. 500 crores, Pathaan, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead roles, is currently the highest grossing film of the year. The movie had earned Rs. 50 crores on its opening day.

Jawan beats Pathaan on day one already?

Jawan had earned Rs. 27 crores in advance booking till September 4. The movie had crossed more than half of what Pathaan had earned on day one with just advance booking, which was also open in limited theatres. Thus, when people actually go to watch the film on Friday, the craze might be on the next level. It is quite likely that Jawan doubles Pathaan opening day collections and earns Rs. 100 crores on day 1 itself. However, whether Jawan can collect Rs. 500 crores is a question that will be answered after the movie releases in theatres and has a good word-of-mouth.

Jawan is directed by Atlee and features Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role(s). He will be seen in a double role. The movie also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra in big roles. Deepika Padukone makes a special appearance in the film which is slated to release in theatres on September 7.
