Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan beats Gadar 2 to be the most searched film, Shahid Kapoor's Farzi beats Bigg Boss 17 to be the most searched OTT on Google

In 2023, Shah Rukh Khan made history at the box office with the enormous success of Pathaan and Jawan. He is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming and final release of this year, Dunki. His two 2023 releases shattered box office records globally and received high appreciation from both critics and audiences. 

When Pathaan was initially released in January 2023, it shattered multiple records at the box office. These successes were fleeting, though, since Jawan outperformed them following its September debut.

Now, according to the press release, Jawan claimed the top spot for local film searches and the third spot for worldwide searches in "India's Year in Search 2023." The announcement also stated that SRK's Pathaan and Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 also secured coveted spots as local and worldwide trending films. It is to be noted that Jawan beats Gadar 2 to be the most searched film.

Three Indian movies were among the top 10 most-searched-for movies worldwide this year. The Atlee-directed film Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, ranked third, followed by Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 at number eight and Pathaan at number ten.
