Shah Rukh Khan, who was recently busy with the Indian Premier League, earlier revealed that he will get back to filming his upcoming movie in July-August. The actor has not revealed any of his upcoming projects yet but has been making headlines for the film King. And now, thanks to the 'unofficial announcement' by the actor, we know that the actor is shooting for his next, which is tentatively titled King.
Shah Rukh Khan unofficially ‘announces’ King
One of Shah Rukh Khan's fan clubs shared a video on social media which shows King Khan praising cinematographer Santosh Sivan as he was recently honoured at the 77th Cannes Film Festival with the prestigious Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens. In the video, the actor is seen speaking about his Asoka director and recalled working with him but what caught everyone's attention is that the script of King, his next film, can be seen on the table next to his chair.
As soon as fans spotted the script, they stormed social media, saying that SRK made an unofficial announcement of his next. One fan wrote: "King Khan himself, making the unofficial announcement for the much-awaited 'King' movie. Get ready for another blockbuster" One of the users commented, “King script ready hai bhai.” Another wrote, "Anyone Notice King Scriptd Book?" “Thank you 'K I N G' for this unofficial announcement,” commented a another one.
Sujoy Ghosh, who is known for films such as Badla, Kahaani, and Jaane Jaan, is said to be directing SRK and Suhana Khan in King. The recent reports also state that Anirudh Ravichander, who worked with Khan in Jawan is also roped in to work on the theme music for the film. 'King' is expected to commence filming later this year and might hit the screens in 2025.
King will be Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan's big-screen debut. She made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies, which was released on Netflix. The film is co-produced by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand's Marflix Pictures.
