Shah Rukh Khan surprises fans with Jawan poster, nails his bandaged look

Just a day after announcing his film Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan has shared a poster from the movie. Jawan, helmed by Atlee, sees SRK in a bandaged look, which is also prominent on the first poster from the film. The look was also released in the announcement video and caught everybody’s attention back then itself.

SRK is seen seated with a bandage on half of his face and both of his fists. The actor nails the look in his casual grey t-shirt, striped red jacket and cargo pants.

While sharing the look on social media, SRK revealed that the film was supposed to go on floors long back and has now begun its journey. “It’s a special RC project that has seen its wait,” the actor shared. He also wrote, “Now… Good to go Chief…!,” hinting that it is how his character talks.

Shah Rukh Khan revealed the poster in various languages – English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Apart from the obvious look, the rings on SRK’s fingers – that of crown and a lion – have also caught the attention of the viewers.

The actor said in a press statement that the teaser (announcement video) is just the ‘tip of the iceberg’ giving a glimpse about what is to come. Talking about his love for action films, the actor credited Atlee for creating the ‘unique’ movie. SRK, who is also co-producing the film, called Jawan a ‘universal story’ which goes ‘beyond languages and geographies’.

Atlee promises Jawan will be a ‘visual spectacle’ with action, emotion and drama woven into one. He also promises to show Shah Rukh Khan in a never-seen-before avatar.

Jawan, directed and penned by Atlee, will release in theatres on June 2, 2023. The film has gone on floors and finally, Shah Rukh Khan will deliver back-to-back films.

Jawan’s OTT release date and platform are not yet finalized. The makers are likely to announce the same either upon the release of the film or after its theatrical run.
