In a statement, SRK said about the association that Mufasa has an incredible legacy and stands as the ultimate king of the jungle, imparting his wisdom to his son, Simba. Not only does he identify with Mufasa's journey in the film, but he also emotionally relates to him as a father. Seeing this character again in Mufasa: The Lion King—which follows Mufasa from his youth all the way to his astounding ascent to the position of king—has been a real treat. In particular, working with Disney on this project is meaningful for the superstar because it allows him to share this experience with his boys, Aryan and AbRam.
