Shah Rukh Khan has been making the headlines for his much anticipated upcoming films. The actor has three movies lined up for release next year, beginning with Pathaan, followed by Jawaan and Dunki. While the teaser of Pathaan has already kicked up a storm on social media, not much is known about his collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani for Dunki. Multiple speculations have been rife about the plot of the film that also stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead along with SRK.

While the makers have kept the details of the film under wraps, they recently completed another schedule of Dunki in Saudi Arabia. Post the schedule wrap, Shah Rukh Khan also attended the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, where he dished out some details about the plot of Dunki.

While speaking to Deadline, Shah Rukh Khan explained that in English the film's called Donkey but it's titled Dunki due to the way the word is usually pronounced by the Punjabis in India. Speaking about the story, SRK revealed, "It's a story of people (how do I say?) who want to come back home, when you finally get the calling. It's a comic film. It starts in comedy. His (Hirani's) films are always a mix of comedy and a lot of emotions, about the country. So, it's a big journey film and goes through different different areas around the world and finally comes back home to India."

He even shared an anecdote when they wrapped up the shooting and went to a coffee place to celebrate and the shop owners didn't even let them pay. SRK was also all praises for director Rajkumar Hirani and writer Abhijat Joshi.

Shah Rukh Khan will soon be seen on the silver screens along with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in Pathaan. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan is all set to hit the theatres on January 25, 2023 while Dunki is slated for December 22, 2023 release.
