Shah Rukh Khan revealed that around two and a half years have gone by since creating Dunki.

On his birthday, like every year, Shah Rukh Khan attended a fan event, and this time he had all the things Dunki had to talk about. At the event, the superstar was present along with director Rajkumar Hirani and co-writer Abhijat Joshi. During the event, SRK revealed that whatever the Dunki Drop was, it was just a drop in the ocean, and a lot more is about to be shared in the coming days. He also said that they have gotten cool with "drop," which is something different from what we saw as Jawan prevue earlier this year.
SRK talks about the unveiling of Dunki
At the event, Shah Rukh spoke in Hindi, which loosely translates as "Actually, not everything has been revealed yet, my friend. Slowly, when Drop 2 and Drop 3 come, because in such films, it is very important. Initially, Raju Sir was very clear: he wanted to show the world of our film to everyone. What you and Taapsee (Pannu) are doing in it will be revealed slowly. The world should be known; in the rest, we have actually shown the world. After that, what we are doing in the film is actually quite good."
The superstar also stated, "For the past two and a half years, we have been creating Dunki, and today is its first glimpse, its first drop, the Dunki Drop. Because we are so cool, we also call it a drop. So, the Dunki Drop has happened now, and God willing, we will continue to show our things in the film."
Warm reception at the event
While Hirani added, "It's very heartwarming to see so much love and so much affection. I am thinking it already looks houseful. Thank you so much for sharing this kind of love for Shah Rukh and for Dunki."
Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu as the female lead and Vicky Kaushal in an extended cameo appearance. The film is set to release during the Christmas 2023 weekend.
