Hombale Films is presently a well-known brand in the entertainment industry. The production house has broken some ground-breaking milestones since the release of KGF: Chapter 2, which stars Yash, and is doing rather well both in Tollywood and beyond. After Kantara's enormous success, the production company is reportedly planning to make a movie for Shah Rukh Khan that will be directed by none other than Rohit Shetty and have a cameo by Rishab Shetty.
After the successful collaboration on the 2013 smash movie "Chennai Express," which also included Deepika Padukone in a key part, this would be SRK and Rohit's second collaboration. Reports also stated that if everything goes according to plan, this will be Hombale Films' first foray into Hindi filmmaking.
However, neither Shah Rukh Khan nor Hombale Films have acknowledged the rumours. And now, it is also reported that sources close to the Hombale films production have dismissed these reports and said that there is no truth to it.
Asserting that there is NO TRUTH to these speculations a source close to Hombale says "There is "no truth" to this development. After KGF, KGF 2, and Kantara, the next Pan India film from Hombale Films is Salaar with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. It is directed by Prashanth Neel. The banner is planning one more film for 2023, the casting of which is yet undisclosed."
Earlier this year, Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films had divulged that the production house has as many as 14 films as part of its upcoming slate of releases with two of them being bona fide pan-Indian releases. With Neel's Salaar being one of the two, industry trackers have tried to dig deep into learning more about the second pan-India project in the offing - Hombale is currently collaborating with Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil on Pawan Kumar's Dhoomam which is slated to release in all the four south Indian languages.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is now working on three projects that will be released back-to-back in 2023. He will soon be seen in the eagerly anticipated movie Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand. Shah Rukh Khan also appears in Atlee's Jawan and Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki in addition to Pathaan. Deepika Padukone is the female lead in Jawan, and Salman Khan, John Abraham, and Hrithik Roshan also play significant roles. The movie is expected to be released in theatres in January of next year.
