We are inching closer to the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s third film of the year, Dunki. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial has created a massive buzz despite minimal promotions. And the anticipation is high right now. Starring Shah Rukh in the lead alongside Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover, the movie will hit the big screen next week. King Khan has been counting the days until the release, with new promotional material from the movie being released every day on his social media pages. Today, he shared a new poster from the movie, just five days from its official release date.
The way Shah Rukh Khan has promoted all three of his movies this year (Pathaan, Jawan, and now Dunki) is a topic of dissection and discussion. For Dunki, the actor has done multiple AMAs (ask me anything) on X, and has shared the posters and teasers on Instagram. He has been reminding his fans of the release date every day. Today, he shared a new poster that features the cast of the movie walking through a stormy desert.
Sharing the poster, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, “Nikle the kabhi hum ghar se… bass 5 dinon mein cinemas pahoch jayenge! Aap bhi apno ko lekar gharse nikal jaana. 21 ko milkar humari picture dekhne aana. 5 Days to go for #Dunki.” Taapsee Pannu, who is working with King Khan for the first time, wrote, “Badi door se aa rahe hai apne sapnon ki kahani lekar...bas 5 din mein! #Dunki releasing worldwide in cinemas on Thursday, 21st December, 2023.”

Shah Rukh Khan attached the track Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se, sung by Sonu Nigam, to the poster. The song has touched hearts and is one of the most loved from the album. While sharing it over a week ago, King Khan wrote a long note. It read, “Aaj aise hi dil mein aaya yeh gaana toh aapke saath share kar raha hoon… Raju aur Sonu naam se hi lagte hain ke apne hi koi honge. Aur yeh gaana joh dono ne banaya hai, yeh bhi apnon ka hai.”
“Apne ghar waalon ki yaadon ka hai…apni mitti ka hai…apne desh ki baahon mein sukoon milne ka hai. Hum sab kabhi na kabhi apne ghar se…gaon se…shehar se door nikal jaate hain…zindagi banane ke liye…lekin dil hamaara apne gharon mein hi rehta hai…desh mein hi rehta hai. Mera favourite from Dunki….”
