Probably, there is no other comeback that can be compared to the one that Shah Rukh Khan had in 2023 after a hiatus of five years. The Badshah Of Bollywood, who returned to the big screen with Pathaan in 2023 after Zero (2018), took the fandom and theatres by storm as he continued to reign the big screens throughout the year. Now, as he stands on the success of Jawan and gears up for Dunki , there is an update on his next movie that he is about to start alongside his daughter Suhana Khan.

If you aren’t in sync with the news, some time back, it was reported that SRK will star in an action thriller alongside his daughter Suhana, who is now making her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, set to release on Netflix. It was said that the movie will be directed by Kahaani fame Sujoy Ghosh, and is an out-and-out action adventure.

Now we have heard that the movie will be titled King as per a Pinkvilla report, and the action for the same will be designed and overlooked by none other than Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan director, Siddharth Anand. The report quotes a source, “Siddharth and Shah Rukh Khan formed a great bond through the Pathaan shoot and are all ready to expand that further with King. Siddharth has proved himself to be the best in action at the moment, and he will be overseeing all the action blocks in the King. In fact, Sid and his team will be actively involved in designing the action too”.

The source also added that the work on King has already begun in full swing and Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan will begin working on the same in January 2024. Sujoy Ghosh is meanwhile working on the final draft of the script. “The flavor of action in King will be very different from what SRK has done in Pathaan and Jawan. This one would be sleek with a lot of chase sequences. However, the core plot is emotional and driven by the story. It has lots of twists and turns, which is the reason why Sujoy has been bestowed with the responsibility of direction,” the source concluded.
Shah Rukh Khan, meanwhile, will be now seen in Dunki, which also stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal parts and is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The movie is set to hit the big screens on December 22, 2023. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more.
