Shaakunthalam: The Samantha starrer will have paid-premieres India wide, here's what we know

Samantha is going all out and is aggressively promoting her new film Shaakuntalam which is all set for an 14th April release. Director Gunasekhar and Dil Raju have co-produced this period drama which also has Dev Mohan as the main lead. Samantha plays the titular role and it is her first ever Pan-India release.

Dil Raju, who is known to promote his films in an aggressive manner, has once again planned a special move. He has decided to hold special premieres one day before the film's release. We have also come to know that Dil Raju will hold the media premiere three days before the release date as he wants the positive word of mouth to spread.

Shaakuntalam is a period drama which was shot in 81 days. Director Gunasekhar took one and half years for the post-production work which was done in several top studios across the world. Samantha has started her round of promotions and is making sure that the film stays in the limelight and the film gets great openings.

Allu Arjun's daughter, Allu Arha makes her film debut with Shaakuntalam. Watch this space for more updates on this project which will be released on the 14th of April. Apart from this film, Samantha is also shooting for her new film Khusi co-starring Vijay Devarakonda. The film is directed by Shiva Nirvana. For now, all eyes are now on Samantha's Shaakuntalam.
