The U.S. legal drama Suits which concluded in 2019 after running for 9 seasons will soon be getting an Indian remake if reports are anything to go by. The show headlined by Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams will be adapted to Indian sensibilities by filmmaker Shaad Ali.
A news 18 report claims that the nine seasons of Suits are being adapted into a script based on the Indian judicial system and its loopholes. The project will thus take time to materialize. In the meantime, the filmmaker has his focus on the Indian adaptation of the French show Call My Agent which will be headlined by Soni Razdan and Rajat Kapoor are going to headline the project.
Suits which is noted to be Meghan Markle’s last acting project before her royal wedding to Prince Harry, focused on the ongoings of a leading law firm in the U.S. Markle featured as a paralegal on the show who was romantically involved with Patrick J. Adams’ character on the show. The show also starred Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty, and Gina Torres in key roles.
Shaad Ali made his digital debut with MX Player show Pawan & Pooja. The filmmaker has helmed films like Soorma, Ok Jaanu, Saathiya, and Bunty Aur Babli in Bollywood.
