Severance trailer: Adam Scott leads Apple TV+ workplace thriller series

Apple TV+ released the official trailer for its upcoming workplace thriller Severance, written and created by Dan Erickson, recently. 

Scott plays Mark Scout, who leads a team at Lumon Industries, where the employees have undergone a surgical procedure that divides the memory between work and personal life. 

"This daring experiment in ‘work-life balance’ is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself," reads the synopsis.

The trailer opens to Mark checking into a cold-looking glass and steel building, his place of work, which is full of employees just like him. 

"Hello, my name is Mark Scout and I have my own free accord to undergo the procedure known as Severance," he can be seen saying to a camera, as tense music fills up the background. 

We discover that he and every employee who chooses to go through with this surgery will be unable to tap into their personal memories while they are working on "the severed floor." Nor will they be able to retain any work memories once outside this vicinity. 

Joining Scott in this show are Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus, and Christopher Walken.

However, one of his old co-workers finds Mark and tells him that there is more to this procedure, secrets and lies that he is unaware of. 

Mark Friedman, Chris Black, John Cameron and Andrew Colville are executive producers alongside Erickson. Ben Stiller serves as executive producer along with Nicky Weinstock and Jackie Cohn via Red Hour Productions. Scott and Arquette are the producers.

Severance will have its global premiere on Apple TV+ on February 18.
