What if you could find a way to alter your mind in such a way that you do away with carrying your personal baggage into your workplace and vice versa. The upcoming Apple TV+ series, Severance, explores this question and comes up with some unsettling answers, in the trailer for the same which was released recently.
The trailer takes viewers through what it exactly entails, through a procedure known as severance, the employees of Lumon Corporation have their memories related to work and home life separated. The separation makes it such that they would be unable to recall anything related to work when they are outside the company and vice versa. The people who choose to go through the process, which is irreversible, must give their consent beforehand.
And of course, this leads to some undesirable consequences, mimicking a series that takes on the hues of Black Mirror.
The upcoming sci-fi thriller stars Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus and Christopher Walken. The series is created by Dan Erickson.
Severance will premiere on Apple TV+ on February 18, 2022. While the first two episodes can be streamed on that date, the rest will be released one by one on a weekly basis every Friday.
