The shooting of Selvaraghavan's Naane Varuven was wrapped up a while ago. The film stars Dhanush in dual roles for the first time in his career. The movie also marks the collaboration of Selvan and Dhanush after a hiatus of more than a decade. Mayakkam Enna was the film which previously brought them together.

The filmmaker has now released two posters of Naane Varuven along with the update that the movie will soon be released in theatres. Fans of Dhanush, who are already elated with the success of Thiruchitrambalam, are excited to the core.

The film was in the news earlier when Dhanush got trained in archery to play one of the characters in the project. Though Selva had revealed a few working stills earlier, he has been tight-lipped about the movie's plot and the actor's characters in it. It is heard that one of the roles the actor plays in it is that of the antagonist.

Elli AvrRam is playing the female lead in the film which has Yuvan Shankar Raja composing music. The project marks the Tamil debut of the former. The film will be Dhanush's second theatrical release this year. He had two direct OTT releases earlier in 2022.

Kalaippuli S Thanu has bankrolled the movie under the banner of V Creations, while OM Prakash and RK Vijai Murugan have handled cinematography and art direction respectively for the film. Bhuvan Srinivasan has edited the movie which has action choreography by Dhilip Subbarayan.

Indhuja Ravichandran, Prabhu and Yogi Babu among others have played significant characters in Naane Varuven. The movie is the fourth collaboration between Dhanush and Selva after Kaadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai and Mayakkam Enna.
