Saw X is a highly anticipated horror drama film arriving in theatres soon. Interestingly, the tenth instalment of the film franchise serves as a sequel to the first part, which was released in 2004 and is the prequel to the 2005 Saw 2.
Plot
Saw X talks about a time that takes place between the stories of Saw 1 and Saw 2. After the events of the first film, the serial killer, who suffers from a terminal illness, moves to a new place as he learns that they have found a cure for cancer. However, he realises that it's all a fraud, which leads him to get back to his heinous business.

The trailer video witnesses John Kramer aka Jigsaw planning multiple brutal, gruesome and cold-blooded killings inside a room at a building that looks like a medical facility. Meanwhile, his apprentice also appears in the trailer sticking by his side and taking the lives of the people in this gory slasher.

The cast of the film
Tobin Bell plays the titular chracter, John Kramer aka Jigsaw alongside Shawnee Smith as Amanda Young. Apart from the pivotal actors, Saw X also features Synnøve Macody Lund, Steven Brand, Michael Beach, Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Octavio Hinojosa, and Joshua Okamoto in key roles.
Behind The Scenes
In a recently released BTS video, the makers of the slasher movie unveil their idea of the upcoming film and mention that in their minds it's actually Saw 2 and not the tenth part of the franchise as according to the story, the event in the forthcoming flick is taking place just weeks after the developments of Saw 1. Meanwhile, the cinematographer talks about the props and screen colour of the film to make it look like a story from the early 2000s.

Release date and OTT platform
The Kevin Greutert- edited and directed film is written by Peter Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg. Bankrolled by Mark Burg and Oren Koules under the banner of Twisted Pictures in association with Lionsgate the upcoming slasher is slated to hit cinemas on September 29, while in India the cinephiles will be able to watch it from September 28. The makers have not announced the digital release date or OTT platform for Saw X yet, however, all the earlier instalments from Saw 1 to Saw 9 are available to stream on Apple TV+.
