Filmmaker Mahi V Raghav, who helmed films like Paathshala, Anando Brahma and Yatra earlier, is turning a new leaf with his digital debut. He’s backing and creating a new web show titled Save The Tigers under his production house Three Autumn Leaves, headlined by Priyadarshi, Abhinav Gomatam and Chaitanya Krishna. The series arrives on Disney+ Hotstar this April 27.

Created by Mahi V Raghav and Pradeep Advaitham, the show is directed by Teja Kakumanu, a popular actor as well. Save The Tigers is written by Pradeep Advaitham, known for directing films like Billa Ranga and Maine Pyaar Kiya in the past. Sujatha, Pavani Gangireddy, Devayani, Gangavva, Harshavardhan, Venu Tillu (Yeldandi), Rohini, Saddam and Sunaina play other key roles in the show.

Ahead of the show’s release, the streamer unveiled the teaser today. Save The Tigers is touted to be a satire/comedy revolving around three couples. It unfolds through the eyes of frustrated husbands Ganta Ravi, Goutham, and Vikram, who accidentally meet and forge a bond by discussing their marital problems. How do they strike a balance between their personal and professional lives?

While Ganta Ravi is a local businessman, Goutham is an aspirant writer and Vikram heads the creative team at an ad agency. The makers have given a smart twist to the patriarchal notion of men being referred to as tigers and how their lives undergo a sea change after marriage. With capable actors like Priyadarshi, Abhinav Gomatam and Chaitanya Krishna, one can expect a relatable yet funny take on marriages.

The show comprises a strong technical team. S V Vishweshwar, who cranked the camera for films like Inttelligent and Rarandoi Veduka Chudham, is the cinematographer. Sriram Maddury, the composer behind several web shows like Ekkadiki Ee Parugu, Loser, Recce, to name a few, is the music director. Shravan Katikaneni is the editor and Hyndavi Suda is the costume designer respectively.
