Satyaprem Ki Katha box office collection Day 6: Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s film inches towards ₹50 crore mark

The romantic comedy film 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani has completed its first week at the box office with a decent collection. The film, directed by Sameer Vidwans, released on June 29, 2023, on the occasion of Eid and received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.

According to reports, the film collected around Rs 4 crore on its sixth day, taking its total collection to Rs 42.25 crore. The film had a good opening day with Rs 9.25 crore, followed by Rs 7 crore on Friday, Rs 10.10 crore on Saturday and Rs 12.15 crore on Sunday. The film witnessed a drop on Monday with Rs 4.21 crore, but managed to remain steady on Tuesday.

The film introduces Kartik as SatyaPrem and Kiara as Katha, who get married after a brief courtship. However, they face many challenges and misunderstandings in their marital life.

The film has faced competition from the Punjabi film 'Carry On Jatta 3', which has done exceptionally well in Delhi and Punjab regions. The heavy rains in Mumbai have also affected the business of the film. However, the film is expected to perform well in the second week as there are no major releases lined up.

Supriya Pathak Kapur, Gajraj Rao, Siddharth Randheria, Anooradha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Nirrmite Saawaant, and Shikha Talsania are other members of the cast. Satyaprem Ki Katha also represents NGE and Namah Pictures' first joint venture. On June 29, 2023, SatyaPrem Ki Katha released in theatres.
