The cop saga, a brainchild of Sashi Kiran Tikka, is directed by Suman Chikkala

Satyabhama, marking the directorial debut of Suman Chikkala, a former associate of Sashi Kiran Tikka, is wrapping its shoot at a brisk pace. Kajal Aggarwal is cast as a cop for the first time in her career in the film. Sashi Kiran Tikka, under Aurum Arts, is also co-producing and writing the screenplay for the thriller, which is expected to release by the first half of 2024. Nearly 70% of the shoot has been completed already.
After launching an intro promo and a teaser, the makers unveiled the first look of Naveen Chandra from Satybhama today. “Introducing the supremely talented and versatile @Naveenc212 as 'Amarendhar' from #Satyabhama. Watch out for his terrific performance,” Aurum Arts wrote, while sharing an image of Naveen Chandra in a boy-next-door look, holding a cat in his hand.
Naveen Chandra plays Kajal Aggarwal’s husband in the film, who’s a writer by profession. In a recent chat with OTTplay.com, the actor, while discussing his role in the film, said, “Though I may not play the main role in the film, I really liked the script and I wanted to be a part of it at any cost. Kajal has really got her cop-avatar right and I can’t wait for audiences to watch it again.”
The thriller is the second collaboration between Naveen Chandra and Kajal Aggarwal after Vishnu Manchu’s cyber crime drama Mosagallu. Prakash Raj, Nagineedu, Harshavardhan, Ravi Varma, Ankith Koyya, Sampada N, Prajwal Yadma, Neha Pathan, Anirudh Pavithran, Satya Pradeepti, Rohit Satyan, Kodati Pavan Kalyan form the supporting cast of Satyabhama.
Srinivas Rao Takkalapelly, Bobby Tikka are bankrolling the film while AV Muralidhar, Balaji Veernala are the co-producers. Vishnu Besi cranks the camera for the film and Kodati Pavan Kalyan is the editor. Ramesh Yadma and Prashanth Reddy Motadoo have jointly written the story. Rohan Singh is the production designer and Sri Charan Pakala is the composer.
