Satish Kaushik’s last project Kaagaz 2 trailer to be out on THIS date, Anupam Kher shares heartfelt note to late filmmaker

Satish Kaushik’s directorial film Kaagaz was an underrated gem on the internet back when it released in 2021. The movie’s second installment is coming back. The late filmmaker completed the project and it was under works when he passed away. Now that the first ever promo of the movie – its trailer – is about to release, Anupam Kher has shared a heartfelt note to their director of the movie.

As the trailer date comes closer, Anupam Kher shared a note for late Satish Kaushik. While sharing his love for the actor-filmmaker, Anupam wrote, “I know how hard you worked to create this film. But we all will make sure that the brilliance of this film reaches the world!”

When will the trailer release?

Kaagaz trailer will be out tomorrow i.e. on February 9, 2024. Anupam Kher announced the same with a poster seeing the backs of the three actors, Darshan Kumaar, himself and Satish Kaushik. They held the messages of ‘Right to life,’ ‘Right to free movement’ and ‘Right to personal liberty,’ in their hands respectively. The message from the film that the actor shared in the caption was, “As law abiding citizens, let us follow what is written on official Kaagaz.”

About Kaagaz and Kaagaz 2

While Kaagaz featured Pankaj Tripathi in the lead role, he is unlikely to be back for the second installment. Kaagaz 2, much like Kaagaz, is based on real-life incidents. The film features Smriti Kalra and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles apart from Anupam, Darshan and Satish. The previous installment saw Satish Kaushik in the role of advocate Sadhoram Kewat and he is likely to reprise the same for the upcoming film.

Kaagaz 2, touted as Satish Kaushik’s passion project, will release in theatres on March 1. The original movie was a direct-to-OTT release on Zee5. Kaagaz 2 is also likely to release on the platform but there is no official confirmation from the makers yet.
