Of late, several directors have turned heroes for their films. The likes of Bandi Saroj Kumar and Pawan Kumar have done the same with their films. So, next in line is young actor Sathish Babu, who is now ready with his new film Jathara, the first look of which has been revealed today.
As seen in the poster, Sathish is dressed in a very powerful avatar. Though his face has been kept a secret, we can see that he is donning a dramatic role in this film. Jathara means a fair, and it showcases Satish Babu in the avatar of a deity. By the looks of it, one can easily understand that Jathara will be one hell of an action drama.
Jathara is set in the drought-stricken region of Chittoor and revolves around a black stone revered as the goddess Paleti Gangamma, symbolizing hope for the villagers. The film's intriguing premise centers on the villagers building a temple and organizing a grand festival spearheaded by the landlord, Venkatareddy. However, his sudden death sets off a series of dramatic events.
Galla Manjunath presents the film, which is produced by Radhakrishna Reddy and Siva Shankar Reddy under the banner of Radhakrishnan Production Company in collaboration with Movieteck LLC. The creators have piqued interest with a striking poster, featuring Sathish Babu in an intense and menacing pose, wielding a sword. The makers plan to release the film by the end of December 2024.
Jathara has Deeya Raj as the heroine and this is her debut film in Telugu cinema. The film also stars R.K. Pinnapala, Gopal Reddy, Mahaboob Basha, and Sai Vikranth in key roles. K.V. Prasad takes care of the camerawork, while Sreejith Edavana composes the music. Very soon, the makers will announce the release date of the film. For now, Sathish Kumar's intense look has caught the attention of many.
