Sarfira box office collection Day 1: After Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Akshay Kumar is back with another film 'Sarfira', which was released in theatres on 12th July. The film is the Hindi remake of the 2021 National Award-winning Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, which stars Suriya in the lead role. Akshay is seen sharing the screen space with Radhika Madan for the first time in this film. After much anticipation, the film was released yesterday but with a dull start at the box office.
Sarfira Box Office Update
According to Sacnilk, Sarfira started its box office journey by collecting Rs. 2.40 crore in India. The film had an overall 13.08% occupancy on Friday. Directed by Sudha Kongara, Sarfira is facing tough competition at the box office with another biggie - Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2.
Let's wait and watch to see if the film picks up at the box office during the weekend. As the actors did not aggressively promote the film, it now completely depends on word of mouth for the film to attract more audience.

Sarfira also marks Akshay Kumar’s 150th film in theatres. Sharing a special post about the same, Khiladi Kumar earlier took to his social media account and shared some BTS pictures of the film. In the caption, he wrote - “Sarfira means crazy and looking back I feel I would've been crazy had I not done this film. So I'm glad I did.”
“This journey began almost 3 years back and it's finally out for you all to witness and hopefully cherish. Sarfira is the story of a dream and the stubbornness to fulfil that dream, something we all can learn from. I'm so proud to be a part of this film and glad that Sarfira is my 150th film. I hope you get a chance to catch it cinemas soon. Sarfira is now all yours,” he further wrote.
