Sardar 2: Kaithi music composer Sam CS replaces Yuvan Shankar Raja in Karthi film?

We had earlier reported that music director Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring music for the upcoming sequel Sardar 2 which is in works. However, as per latest reports, it is said that Yuvan has opted out of the project, with Sam CS scoring music for the spy thriller.

Sardar 2: Yuvan Shankar Raja out, Sam CS in?

Sardar is a 2022 spy action thriller, which stars Karthi in the lead role. The film is written and directed by Mithran, and the makers had announced the sequel is in the making. While Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring music, the latest social media buzz suggest that he is replaced by Sam CS. An official confirmation in this regard is yet to be made by the team.

Famously, Sam CS has scored for Karthi-starrer Kaithi, which has created much-anticipation for the duo's collaboration once again. Mithran will be resuming his directorial duties with Sardar 2. Apart from Karthi, the sequel also stars SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan and Rajisha Vijayan. The sequel is currently under production with a release date yet to be announced. Sardar 2 is produced by Prince Pictures production banner. Recently, it was reported that Karthi had sustained injuries while shooting for the film in Mysore. The actor was taken to the hospital, however it was found that it was not severe.

Sardar features Karthi in dual roles. The film follows the story of a police officer, who uncovers a web of deception, corruption, and conspiracy while investigating an international crime syndicate. The movie also features an impressive supporting cast, including Raashi Khanna, Chunky Pandey in his Tamil debut, Laila in her comeback and others, contributing to its success. Sardar opened to positive reviews upon its release.
