Saqib Saleem is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming horror comedy - Kakuda. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles. This is the first time where Saqib will be sharing the screen space with his good friend Sona as he will be seen playing her fiancee in the film. The actor recently opened about about the same, here's what he said!

Saqib Saleem on working with Sonakshi Sinha in Kakuda

It is a well-known fact that Saqib Saleem shares a good bond with Sonakshi Sinha as well as her husband Zaheer Iqbal. He was also one of the attendees at their wedding ceremony. Speaking about sharing the screen space with the Heeramandi actress, Saqib said that they also were a part of the 2018 film, Race 3 together as well as shot a song together for that film, however, that never made it to the final cut.

"Sonakshi and I have been friends for a while. We have a great understanding, and that makes our scenes together authentic. She is a no-frills actor. She comes on set, performs the minute you say action, and when pack-up is called, she sits in her car and goes back home. She is the most professional actor I have come across. I have tremendous respect for her, even more now that I have worked with her,” Saqib was quoted as saying by mid-day.

More about Kakuda

Meanwhile, Kakuda is set around a village named Rathodi. The village is cursed by a wicked ghost named Kakuda. Saqib's character in the film gets cursed by the ghost and that's when Sonakshi, who plays his fiancee takes the help of the ghost hunter, played by Riteish Deshmukh. The trailer promises a fun laughter ride with a lot of spookiness.
