Three weeks after the Kannada film Sapta Sagaradaache Ello came to theatres and audiences fell in love with its lead pair Manu (Rakshit Shetty) and Priya (Rukmini Vasanth), the film is knocking on the doors of Telugu audiences as of today. Rakshit, who has also produced the film, and director Hemanth M Rao had kept dubbed versions of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello ready to be released in markets where there was demand. In Hyderabad, which got only a couple of screens/shows for the Kannada version, the response was so good that the duo knew that this was the market that they’d approach with the dubbed version first.
Earlier today, Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati Side A (SSD-Side A) began its box office journey in the Andhra/Telangana belt, presented by People Media Factory and the reviews that are coming in have been just as encouraging as for the original. SSD-Side A, the makers had acknowledged, was not a film for all; it was for discerning viewers who’d not only appreciate an intense love story, but also its relatively slower pace of narration and that is the feedback that is coming from audiences there.
