Rakshit Shetty’s journey of working on Hemanth M Rao’s Sapta Sagaradaache Ello was rather intense. Not only did he have to pile on the pounds for the second part of the story that takes off 10 years later, but he also went on a journey of introspection and self-discovery through meditation, which helped him in many ways. Not only was he able to channel the pain and anguish of his character well, but he was also in a better space to put pen to paper and get cracking on the script of Richard Anthony, his next directorial.
Amid all of this, director Hemanth M Rao was able to get Rakshit to do more than just act in the film and produce it as well. The filmmaker managed to awaken the lyricist in Rakshit for Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B, a number that is yet to be released and will, in all probability be heard only when the film releases on November 17. Rakshit, who had last written songs for Ulidavaru Kandanthe, for which he penned not one but three in all, was being constantly pushed by Hemanth to give it a go yet again for Sapta Sagaradaache Ello. And while he was not averse to the idea, he kept procrastinating, until one day, an idea struck him, which he wrote and since it resonated with his personal journey, he put it on social media. Using this idea, Rakshit wrote the lyrics of the song, for which Charan Raj had already composed a tune.
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is a story that Hemanth is telling with a lot of music. Prior to the release of Side A, he had confirmed that there would be 12 songs, six in each part. But then Hemanth and Charan were toying with the idea of adding another song into the mix, given how much they love working with each other. So far, they’ve released two songs, Olave Olave and the rock ballad version of the title track. With only 5 days to go for the release, it is unlikely that they will release any more publicity material, but if they do, we are not complaining.
