Santhanam's DD Returns to now hit screens in Telugu with a new title

Santhanam's upcoming film, DD Returns, is all set to hit screens in Telugu, albeit with a new title. The Telugu version has been named DD Returns Bhuthala Bungalow and is gearing up for release on August 18. The film is directed by S Prem Anand, who had earlier directed Inimey Ippadithan (2015). DD Returns emerged as a sleeper hit at the box office and the film, we hear, has already collected Rs 30 crore.

While Surbhi plays the leading lady in the film, the supporting cast includes Lollu Sabha Maran, Redin Kingsley, Masoom Shankar, Munishkanth, Deepa Shankar, Fefsi Vijayan, Pradeep Rawat, Cool Suresh, Manasvi Kottachi and Mottai Rajendran.

The film marked the comeback of the horror comedy genre,  Dhilluku Dhuddu film series, which features Santhanam in the lead. The first two films in the franchise were directed by Rambhala and Prem Anand, his assistant, took over the mantle for the third project.

DD Returns , which was released along with Dhoni's maiden film production, LGM, turned out to be a box office success. Santhanam, who was excited about the film's success wrote on his social media, "Team K.Senthil  joined Team RK Entertainment to celebrate the blockbuster success of "DD Returns." It was truly an honor to work with both these teams, and we look forward to many more successful collaborations in the future (sic)."

DD Returns has music by ofRo, cinematography by Deepak Kumar Padhy and editing by NB Srikanth.While the action choreography is by Hari Dinesh, dances are by Sandy. C Ramesh Kumar has produced the movie under the banner of RK Entertainment. The digital rights of the Santhanam film have been bagged by Zee5.

Santhanam is gearing up for his next Kick, which is helmed by Prashant Raj. The film is all set to hit screens in September. It looks like Santhanam is going to be busy with back-to-back promotions.
