Sankranthiki Vasthunnam producer Dil Raju faces IT raids

Dil Raju is the man of the moment, as he is out with not one, but two films this Sankranthi 2025. Game Changer is the first film, made on a whopping budget of Rs 400 crore, and the next biggie is Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, which has been declared a smashing blockbuster and has made Rs 120 crore in just a week of its release. 

IT raids on producer Dil Raju

This has kept Dil Raju in the headlines, and now the news is that the IT department has raided Dil Raju's offices in Hyderabad. As per the latest update, raids are being held at eight offices and residences of the star producer in Hyderabad. 

Dil Raju has invested a lot of money in the aforementioned films and has also made crores from them. This is not the first time that IT raids have happened on Dil Raju. In the past, raids have been conducted on the star producer, but he came clean. Now, the scenario is different, as the money involved is substantial.

Dil Raju invests crores on Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam

Game Changer was made and promoted on a very aggressive scale, but sadly, it ended as a flop at the box office. On the other hand, whatever Dil Raju lost with Game Changer, he is making up with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, as the Venkatesh starrer has already made three times the budget.

Dil Raju is also in the news because he has been appointed president of the Telangana Film Chamber, a post assigned by the Revanth Reddy government. So, it is quite surprising to see IT raids happening on Dil Raju. The star producer, who works alongside his brother Sirish on the Sri Venkateswara banner, has made close to 60 films to date.

Everyone is talking about Dil Raju's planning and the way he has grown as the kingpin of the industry in the last few years. IT officials raided the offices and residences of Dil Raju at 8 AM on January 21, 2025, and the searches are continuing as we write this article.
