Sankranthiki Vasthunnam box office collection day 10: Venkatesh's film continues to reap profits, nears Rs 140-crore mark

Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is undeniably a blockbuster hit. Even on weekdays, the family drama continues to generate impressive numbers. So far, the Anil Ravipudi-directed film has completed ten days of its theatrical run and has crossed the ₹140 crore share mark as of writing this article. 

Sankranthiki Vasthunnam 10 days box office collections

On its tenth day, the film earned a ₹4 crore share, which is remarkable. The gross collections have already surpassed ₹220 crore, marking the highest-ever total in Venkatesh’s career.

Director Anil Ravipudi deserves much of the credit for keeping the film in the spotlight even after ten days of its release. The occupancy rates for Venkatesh-starrer remain strong, particularly in the smaller towns of Andhra Pradesh. Evening and night shows are reporting close to 60% occupancy, a positive sign for the movie’s sustained success.

Sankranthiki Vasthunnam in no mood to slow down

With the weekend approaching and no other major Telugu releases in competition, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is expected to continue raking in significant numbers and is likely to cross the coveted ₹250-crore mark in the coming days.

Venkatesh, thrilled by the overwhelming response, expressed his gratitude to the audience for the film's success. "Right from the day I signed the film, I knew Sankranthiki Vasthunnam was special and would resonate with audiences. But I never imagined the craze would reach this level. Every section of the audience can enjoy my film, which is filled with clean comedy," said Venkatesh.

The film’s producer, Dil Raju, is also celebrating the movie’s massive success. However, his dual production of two major Sankranthi releases, Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, has drawn significant attention, resulting in IT raids on his offices and residences over the past few days. Despite this, the financial returns from Sankranthiki Vasthunnam are staggering, with profits reportedly tripling the initial investment.

Zee5 has acquired the digital rights for a whopping ₹30 crore and plans to stream Sankranthiki Vasthunnam in the second week of February 2025. For now, the film shows no signs of slowing down at the box office. Watch this space for more updates.
