Sharmin Saigal, the niece of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, recently tied the knot with Aman Mehta after they apparently became engaged earlier this year. As per reports, he currently serves as the CEO of Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd., a global pharmaceutical powerhouse. Sharmin has finally released photographs from her wedding on her Instagram stories, and the candid moments have gone viral on the Internet.

The radiant bride and groom's enchanting attire

In the photos, Sharmin looked stunning in her mauve embroidered lehenga on her wedding day, with a matching blouse. Pearls, a kundan choker, and a maang tikka to match the lehenga completed her ensemble. Meanwhile, Aman wore an ivory sherwani.

The newlywed couple is seen seated at the mandap, holding hands. Sharmin wrote a caption stating that this is the happiest time of her life, spent with the one she loves. She quipped that Aman would have to deal with her forever. Sharmin and her mother, Bella Bhansali Segal, also appear together in the photos, and the actor also poses with her gal pals.

Bella Bhansali Segal and Deepak Segal are the proud parents of their daughter, Sharmin. In 2019, she debuted alongside Meezan Jafri in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Malaal, directed by Mangesh Hadawale.

From assistant director to actor

On films like Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Gangubai Kathiawadi, she served as the filmmaker's assistant director. She continued acting after Malaal, appearing in Atithi Bhooto Bhava, a horror comedy. She'll be appearing alongside Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and Sanjeeda Shaikh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming historical drama Heeramandi, a Netflix series.

Earlier, while talking about her career, Sharmin told IANS that it would be her skills and effort, not her surname, that would get her hired. The actor's observations lead her to believe that the only things that will ensure her success in Bollywood are her talent and the approval of the audience. She has been cautioned not to use her connection to Bhansali for anything, not even fame or publicity. The actor expects criticism of nepotism, but she didn't pick her family.

Sharmin is yet to officially share photos from her wedding on her Instagram page.
