Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has become the talk of the town since its release. The show has been receiving praise from critics as well as viewers since the day it was released on Netflix. Now, actress Priyanka Chopra too applauded the show by sharing an insight from the show.
As we all know by now Heeramandi has been one of the projects that SLB has been working on for years. Sharing the details about the same, Priyanka Chopra shared an interesting story about this long-standing wish for the filmmaker to make this show. She shared a poster of Heeramandi on her Instagram stories and wrote: "I remember how much you wanted to make this Congratulations @bhansaliproductions "

For the uninitiated, Priyanka Chopra has been a part of Bhansali's two prestigious and most-loved projects: 'Bajirao Mastani,' also starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone and 'Ram Leela,' in which she has a special song performance.
Meanwhile, Heeramandi boasts a star-studded cast, including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, Shekhar Suman, Fardeen Khan, among others. The show is set against the backdrop of the pre-Independence era in the year 1940s. The show takes us to the prominent red-light district of Heeramandi and explores the cultural reality through the lens of nawabs and courtesans. It also sheds light on the rivalries between courtesans and their struggle for freedom.
The show has emerged as the most-viewed Indian series on streaming giant Netflix. Besides larger-than-life sets and beautiful costumes, the show is made with the Indian culture rooted in marvelous storytelling and timeless music. Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is an eight-part series that marked the filmmaker's debut on the OTT platform.
