Sanjay Leela Bhansali on his transition from big screen to OTT with Heeramandi: It's so demanding

Fans have been anticipating the first look of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming project Heeramandi ever since it was announced. We are all aware of Sanjay's work for his lavish sets and fantasy world. Fans are sure to be astounded by the nobility the starring ladies radiate after watching today's teaser for Heeramandi. Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chaddha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh are the stars of the web series. The director, however, spoke candidly about his transition from the big screen to OTT with this movie during the teaser premiere event today.

Talking about this shift, Sanjay Leela Bhansali said, “I make big films and that comes naturally to me. But when I came to OTT I made something bigger, it's my biggest project as yet. So I didn't have to adapt to the digital medium, this will be like watching a film. So there is no holding back or trying to do something different for OTT. I made 8 episodes for this, and it's so demanding, I am constantly working on the script. The filmmaker added, "You have to spend more hours than you do films but all of us are enjoying a lot. This one is very special. My dear Moin Baig came up with this idea 14 years back, but finally, it has gotten made. I don't make films with my mind but with my heart. Heera Mandi has a very special place.”

There have been a lot of rumours about the ensemble cast for Heeramandi for a long time. The first look has just been released, and there is a terrific ensemble cast to look forward to. As shown in the first motion poster, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Segal, and Aditi Rao Hydari are among the leading ladies ready to take over your screens.
