Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt is quite upbeat about his upcoming movie Leo, starring Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. On Saturday, the makers of Leo unveiled a short promo video introducing Dutt's character named Antony Das.

"A small gift from all of us to you @duttsanjay sir! It was indeed a pleasure to work with you!," tweeted Lokesh Kanagaraj, while unveiling the promo. The glimpse was released to commemorate Dutt's 64th birthday.

While thanking Lokesh, Dutt promised his fans an "epic journey." "The teaser is just a hint of the epic journey that lies ahead. Thank you team for this gift!," he wrote on his Twitter account.

The glimpse doesn't reveal too much about Dutt's Antony Das character. It's clear that Antony is the head of a crime syndicate commanding a huge following. Dutt's resting gangster face adds a lot of weight to his character and his screen presence is simply intriguing. The buzz is Dutt is playing Vijay's father in the movie. All the clues that the fans have been able to gather from all the promotional materials so far strongly hint at a father-son dynamic at the heart of the movie. What's unclear is whether Antony Das is a good-hearted gangster or the cold-blooded kind.

Dutt has developed a good bonding with Lokesh during the filming of Leo. Earlier, Dutt revealed that he considers Lokesh his son. "After four days of working with me, he started calling me 'son'. I also told him that I was his big fan since Khal Nayak. He loves my way of working," Lokesh said earlier while talking about his personal equation with Dutt.

In the meantime, Leo is in post-production. Besides Dutt and Vijay, the movie also has a star-studded cast, including Trisha, Arjun, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy Master, and Mathew Thomas among others.

Leo is due in cinemas on October 19.
