Sanjay Dutt's favourite aspect of cinema is larger-than-life characters, which he got in KGF: Chapter 2. He discovered an unforeseen enemy in Adheera, whom he described as an emotionless person. The actor knows how difficult it is to play a soulless man.
Talking about the same, Dutt told Mid Day that when he was given such a significant role, one has to put everything they have got into it. For this persona, he followed the director Prashanth Neel's concept. They started with his appearance, and Neel told the actor that he had made a lot of suggestions to improve the character.
According to Dutt, Adheera, the antagonist of Yash's all-powerful protagonist, is a complicated character. At the same time, he is intimidating and kind to others. Much of Adheera's development may be attributed to the intensity that Yash and Dutt brought to each scene. He called the Kannada star a "gift".
While Dutt has generally adjusted to the industry's changing dynamics, he acknowledges that films have changed dramatically in recent years. The actor shared that they had lost sight of the fact that films are explosive and larger-than-life. He asked where the dynamic heroes are in action movies. Hindi films are flavorful because of their heroism. They should look at the mass centres as an enterprise where the goal is to make the crowd clap and cheer.
When he was filming the actioner in 2020, Dutt was diagnosed with lung cancer. The actor returned to work after intensive rehab. He confesses that the producers were exceedingly helpful while he was filming during the most trying time of his life.
Dutt revealed that they went out of their way to make him feel at ease. They proposed that they film it in front of a green screen. However, as an actor, he felt it was critical that this film be shot appropriately. They had a big plan for it, and the conclusion had to be staged in a big way. There was muck, filth, fire, and a lot of action in this challenging climax, and the shoot would not have been possible without their assistance.
Fighting cancer can change one's outlook on life. With his typical optimism, Dutt claims to have regained his strength. He is returning with a fresh lease on life and it has no effect on him. Thanks to the prayers of his admirers, he was able to get by.
