Housefull 5: Sanjay Dutt comes on board for Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan-starrer | Deets inside

One of the most loved and most awaited films of 2025 is Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5. Ever since the fifth installment of the hit franchise was announced, the film has been making headlines. And now there’s another big news for fans who are excited about the film. Actor Sanjay Dutt has now come on board and joined the star-studded cast.

The cast of the film includes Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Nana Patekar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Chunky Pandey in key roles. And now, with Sanjay Dutt coming on board with his very well-known comedic timing, it has added an extra layer of fun to the film and the audience can anticipate even more laughter with unique jokes and entertainment. 

The fifth installment of the film promises to be an uproarious adventure and is scheduled to start filming in the UK in August 2024.

Speaking about coming on board for Housefull 5, Sanjay Dutt said that he has seen producer Sajid Nadiadwala since he was an assistant and he has seen him grow in these years as one of the finest producers. “Sajid is like family to me, and our friendship has only gotten stronger over the years. I’m thrilled to be working with him again on Housefull 5 and also look forward to many more collaborations with him in the years to come,” He added. 

For the uninitiated, the first Housefull was released in 2010 starring Akshay Kumar, Jiah Khan, Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, and Chunky Panday in the lead. The second movie hit theatres in 2012. Housefull 3 and 4 were released in 2016 and 2019, respectively. 

Housefull 5 is slated to hit the big screen on June 6, 2025. It is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
