The much-awaited glimpse of Sanjay Dutt from Thalapathy Vijay's Leo is finally here. The first look was dropped on the occasion of the actor's birthday today. The video, which is less than a minute long, shows Sanjay Dutt in a killer swag in his character Antony Das.

Antony Das is seen walking towards a statue of an eagle, dropping a hint that the film might just be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. The mighty walk and the smoking scene has already been declared as merattal by fans of the actors. What adds to the excitement is the haunting mass background music by Anirudh Ravichander.

The icing on the cake is Manoj Paramhamsa's cinematography and the colour glade, which adds to the mass appeal of the scene. The buzz is that Sanjay Dutt plays Vijay's father in Leo. And fans have already gone on how Vijay's character might take some of his mannerisms from his onscreen father.

Taking to his social media handle, Lokesh Kanagaraj wrote, "Meet #AntonyDas A small gift from all of us to you @duttsanjay sir! It was indeed a pleasure to work with you!#HappyBirthdaySanjayDutt #Leo (sic)."

The makers also called the actor an inspiration on the set. Sharing the glimpse, they wrote on their social media handle, "Happy Birthday #AntonyDas Thank you for being a true inspiration on and off the set, @duttsanjay sir Presenting you all the #GlimpseOfAntonyDas Wishing you continued success and happiness (sic)."

Leo is one of the most anticipated films of the year and marks the second collaboration between Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay after their last outing Master. The film has an ensemble cast comprising Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Sandy, Mathew Thomas, Babu Antony to name a few.

The film is bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio and The Route and is slated to hit screens in October this year.
