Sandipta Sen: I don’t have any immediate plan to return to television | Exclusive

Sandipta Sen’s Noshtoneer was dropped on Hoichoi recently and received appreciation from the viewers. The actress who became a household name through her works on television serials has focused on films and web series. She debuted on the big screen with The Eken Ruddhashwash Rajasthan. Besides, she has worked in web series, including Bodhon. However, speculations over her return to TV were doing the rounds on social media. In a chat with OTTplay, Sandipta put a lid on the speculations and said that her audience will have to wait to watch her on TV. 

“I am really grateful to TV since it has given me enormous recognition. However, I have taken a break from TV and focussed on films and OTT works. It is a new challenge for me and I want to explore these paths before coming back to TV. Speculations are doing the rounds on social media. They are baseless. I will be back but fans will have to wait a little for that,” she told us with a smile.

Recently, it was speculated that Sandipta will be seen in a TV serial that will also feature Khorkuto-fame Koushik Roy. The actress rubbished the news. She took to her social media and clarified that there is no truth in the news. 

Sandipta is currently soaking in the appreciation posts around Noshtoneer. She plays an ordinary woman whose husband gets alleged of a sexual offense. Directed by Aditi Roy, the show also features Shoumo Banerjee, Angana Roy, Rooqma Ray, Anindya Banerjee, and others.
