Sanam Saeed and Fawad Khan have reunited for a new series after 12 years of their hit show, Zindagi Gulzar Hai. As of today, Sanam and Fawad are awaiting the release of their project, Barzakh, which will drop on ZEE5 (also on OTTplay Premium) on July 19, 2024. Ahead of Barzakh's release, Sanam has praised his co-star's performance in the show. Fawad will be seen as Shehryar in the Asim Abbasi directorial.
Sanam Saeed lauds Fawad Khan's act in Barzakh
In an interview with News18, Sanam Saeed stated it was important for Fawad Khan to do Shehryar's role in Barzakh. "Because people need to see his range, how brilliantly he has done this role, and the fact that he’s also an actor and not just a hero," said Saeed.
The actress called her co-star Fawad a 'good actor' and added that the audience will see a very different side of Fawad in Barzakh. "Aap Zaroon ko bhool jaaoge aur Shehryar ke character mein ghus jaaoge," mentioned Sanam.
Speaking about her series' trailer, the actress revealed it has attracted a certain audience. Sanam is aware of the fact that not everyone will not run toward watching Barzakh because it is a 'bit weird, confusing and different'. However, she hopes that the audience who will watch the series will understand the nuances and performances.

Apart from Fawad and Sanam, Barzakh stars Salman Shahid, Khushal Khan, Faiza Gillani, Emam Suleman, and others in key roles. While the series is directed by Asim Abbasi, Barzakh has been backed by Shailja Kejriwal and Waqas Hassan. For those who are unaware, the series had its world premiere at Series Mania, in France, last year in February.
