Kiran Abbavaram, who was last seen in the crime thriller Sebastian PC524 earlier this year, is bracing for a full-fledged romance, Sammathame next. He is teaming up with Manu, Advaitham-fame actress Chandini Chowdary for the film. Sammathame is written and directed by first-time filmmaker Gopinath Reddy. Produced by Kankanala Praveena under UG Productions, the light-hearted urban tale will hit theatres on June 24.

The film's first glimpse and the songs have done well on social media and are a hit with netizens. The makers even shared a new poster while announcing the film's release date today. In the poster, while Chandini is drying clothes, Kiran is seen hugging her behind and the duo seems to be in a happy, magical space. Going by the promos, the story of Sammathame revolves around two software employees and the various highs and lows in their relationships.

The lead pair shares impressive on-screen camaraderie from whatever little we get to see. The film has music by Shekar Chandra and two songs from the album have released on all streaming platforms - Krishna and Sathyabhama besides Bullet La. While the former is sung by Yazin Nizar and Sireesha Bhagavatula and lyricised by Krishna Kanth, the latter had Ritesh G Rao crooning for it (lyrics penned by Samrat). Sateesh Reddy Masam has cranked the camera for the film while Vilpav Nyshadam is the editor. Sudheer Macharla has worked as the art director.

Chandini Chowdary was seen in ZEE5's web show Gaalivaana recently; the show directed by Sharan Koppishetty also starred Radhika Sarathkumar, Sai Kumar, Ashrita Vemuganti, Nandini Rai and others in key roles. Gaalivaana was a joint collaboration between BBC Studios India and Sharrath Marar's Northstar Entertainment.
