Samantha Ruth Prabhu impressed everyone with her moves in the dance number Oo Antava in Allu Arjun's film Pushpa. The actress floored everyone with her electrifying performance on the track in director Sukumar's film. Almost three years after the film's theatrical release, Samantha revealed that she was "shaking from fear" when the song was shot. The actress revealed the reason behind this at the India Today Conclave.

Sharing her experience of working on Oo Antava for Pushpa, Samantha said, "I have always operated from the space of ‘I’m not good enough, I don’t feel pretty, I don’t look like the other girls.’ So for me, it was a huge challenge. It was actually the first shot of Oo Antava… I was shaking from fear because being sexy is not my thing. It’s not my thing."
Having said that, Samantha admitted that she has grown as an actor and as a person by putting herself in the most "uncomfortable, unforgiving and difficult" circumstances. The actress went on to add that she did not feel very confident but decided to take up the Pushpa song because she wished to explore something new.
However, when Samantha was asked if she would do a dance number again, the actress said that she doesn't see any challenge in them anymore. As far as Pushpa 2 is concerned, the film, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, will be released on August 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, Samantha's last theatrical release was Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda. The actress played a pivotal role in the film, which hit the big screen on September 1, 2023. She also starred in Shaakuntalam.
Her upcoming project is Raj and DK's Citadel (Indian version) with Varun Dhawan. She has collaborated with the actor for the first time. An official announcement about the web show's release date is yet to be made.
