Looking back in the year 2022, the southern superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to social media and made a revelation of sorts by sharing with everyone that she was suffering from the autoimmune disease myositis. In a recent news report, it has been reported that the actress has now revealed that she was forced to go public about her medical condition.

As per a latest report in Indian Express, it has been reported that she was one of the speakers at the two-day event of India Today Conclave 2024. And it is during this event, Samantha Ruth Prabhu spoke while referring to her informing everyone (through social media) about her suffering from the ailment known as autoimmune disease myositis.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu reveals the reason for not actively promoting Yashoda
Referring to her revelation, the actress said that she was ‘made to reveal her illness’. And the reason that she cited for the same was that, once she reveals her illness, then, the people would start understanding that she was just not in a position to take part in the promotions of the film Yashoda, which was a totally female-centric film and was (at that time), due for release.
In the same event, Samantha Ruth Prabhu also said that, (at that time), it was very difficult for her to give interviews because of her medical condition. And that was the reason, she said that she had agreed to do just one interview. She also revealed that, since she was very sick at that time, it was hard for her (to promote the said film) as she wasn't ready. She also added that (at that time), there were many sorts of speculation going around and misinformation being spread and that the producers needed her to promote it, otherwise the film would have been dead!
She also went on to reveal that, even in the interview that she had agreed to do, she did it after having high doses of medication in order to keep her stable, something which she was forced to do. In the same breath, she added that, if given a choice, she wouldn’t have come out and announced it
In the same event, she also did a revelation of sorts by saying that she was called as the sympathy queen by the public. But, not the one to get bogged down by any nasty articles, she said that the people forced her to become the person that she can be proud of. On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will now be seen with Varun Dhawan in the Indian version of the global series Citadel.
