Samantha Ruth Prabhu confirms Varun Dhawan’s Citadel India announcement on March 19, here’s how

Varun Dhawan had appeared for a video on Amazon Prime Video’s Instagram channel. He said, “Hi from Prime Bae” and spoke about an inside news, which obviously was muted. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who will be seen with him in Citadel India, nearly confirmed that they will be making the announcement on March 19.

Varun was seen reading a script in the video unveiled by Amazon Prime Video. On seeing the camera, he started talking about the project (which was muted). He then confirmed the event on March 19 and hinted at him answering questions related to Citadel India at the event which will unveil the Amazon Prime Video slate.

Samantha’s comment

Samantha left a comment on the video, thus confirming that Varun was indeed talking about Raj & DK’s Citadel India. With a red heart, she commented, “Cannot wait to.”

Citadel is being made in various languages and Varun-Samantha are a part of the Hindi version directed by Raj & DK. The original web series featured Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden and is already out on the OTT platform, which more episodes ready to be unveiled soon.

Amazon Prime Video will hold an event to reveal its slate for 2024. The slate is likely to be named Prime Video Presents: The Next Chapter of the India Story and will mostly announce some interesting projects. One of them could be Aryan Khan’s debut web series, Stardom. Apart from that, Shonali Bose’s drama series, Notorious Girls, featuring Nandita Das and Revathi, Dharmatic Entertainment’s Call Me Bae with Ananya Panday, Raj and DK’s Gulkanda Tales starring Pankaj Tripathi and Kunal Kemmu. Other popular projects including Nushrratt Bharuccha’s supernatural-thriller Chhorii 2 and the third season of Mirzapur, The Family Man and Panchayat will be officially announced. Paatal Lok season 2 is also on the list.
