The trailer for the much-awaited Sam Bahadur is finally out. Vicky Kaushal plays the title character, Field Marshal Sam HFJ Manekshaw, in the Meghna Gulzar-directed film. The trailer gives a glimpse into the life of India's greatest soldier, who led the way during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. Vicky looks the part entirely and brings the suave charm of Manekshaw, who was a no-nonsense man with a dynamic personality. The film is proof that no one, apart from the talented actor, could have emulated this role.

Field Marshal Sam HFJ Manekshaw, MC, was India's first Field Marshal and a great Army General, and Sam Bahadur is a tribute to him. His life and career were characterised by significant events, from participating in World War II to serving as the Indian Army's Chief of Staff during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, which led to the creation of Bangladesh.
