While we are in the last leg of the year, the month that is supposedly the most exciting one for Bollywood is just ten days away from us. December 2023 is ending the year of glorious Fridays with three massive releases, with Shah Rukh Khan marking the end of his comeback year with a big surprise, yes, Dunki. But starting the month is our very own Vicky Kaushal in Sam Bahadur, and is now on a promotional spree. Here’s a snippet from his time in Lucknow.
Vicky Kaushal took off to Lucknow to promote Sam Bahadur and has been dropping some interesting updates. The actor has now decided to share a compilation of his time in the state of Nawabs and briefly tell us about his experience. The reel he shared on Instagram, captures him while he performs with the Gorkha jawans, Kaushal having a meal with the men in uniform, visiting universities, and playing a game of basketball, and it all seems so much fun and heartfelt.
The reel has been loved by the fans of the actor, who are already gushing over his promotional tour. The world is back to normal after a couple of years in lockdown, and the after-effects of the pandemic, and promotional tours are on track with actors going back on ground zero; such visuals will only win hearts. Sam Bahadur is based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, and stars Vicky in the titular part . The movie is directed by Meghna Gulzar and is written by Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava with Meghna. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy on the music with the lyrics from the legendary Gulzar Sahab. The movie also stars Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and an ensemble.
Meanwhile, Sam Bahadur will clash with Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal at the Box Office. Recently, as per Indian Express, Vicky Kaushal spoke about the same and said, “On that Friday, we both (Ranbir and I) are going to hand over our films to the audience. So Friday is going to be the audiences’ day more than our day. Today, we as an industry should give the option of multiple films on the same day to the audience, that’s how we are going to flourish as an industry.”
