Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 17 to have a Sumbul ‘Touqeer’ Khan connection once again?

A week after Bigg Boss OTT 2 ended, news about Bigg Boss 17’s potential contestants has started making the rounds. This time, there might be a Sumbul Touqeer Khan connection once again. For the uninitiated, Sumbul was a part of Bigg Boss 16. Someone related to her is likely to enter Bigg Boss 17.

So, who is that?

There was a name that made more noise than Sumbul on Bigg Boss 16. It was ‘Touqeer saab’ aka Sumbul’s father, Touqeer Hassan Khan. Well, it looks like the makers have approached Touqeer saab to join Bigg Boss 17. TellyChakkar has claimed that Touqeer saab and the makers are currently in talks about the project.

Touqeer saab was seen on Bigg Boss 16 more than Sumbul

Salman Khan had passed a statement, “Touqeer saab is seen on Bigg Boss 16 more than Sumbul,” and it held true for the most part. He was so involved in everything to do with the show – from looking after Sumbul, discussing strategies with her, defaming those around her and even being mocked – that Sumbul was overshadowed by her own father, even when he was not a contestant on the show. He was addressed as Touqeer saab on the show by Salman Khan and later, mimicked by the mandali, especially by Bigg Boss 16 winner, MC Stan. Touqeer saab had said that he liked the mimicry and motivated Stan to keep going. That is how Touqeer saab was associated with Bigg Boss even before news of season 17.

What about Fahmaan?

Fahmaan, who is Sumbul’s closest friend, had come to season 16 but only to promote his show. Sumbul was extremely upset over the fact. It appeared that Fahmaan might join the show this season but currently, that looks unlikely.

What is the theme of Bigg Boss 17?

According to reports, Bigg Boss 17 theme would be singles vs couples. Since Touqeer saab got married recently, he would be in the couples category. Who will be the single opposite him, however, remains to be seen. In case Fahmaan does agree, it would be interesting to see them compete, no?
