Honey Singh is known for his iconic rap style. Along with multiple hit albums, the singer has also given a lot of memorable songs for Bollywood as well. However, when Yo Yo created a song for Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the actor had a special request. For the uninitiated, Honey Singh created a rap for the song 'Let’s Dance Chotu Motu' and the superstar requested the rapper to feature in the music video.
Recently, Yo Yo Honey Singh opened up about his collaboration with Salman Khan in his recently released Netflix documentary, Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous. Singh recalls, “Salman Khan has sent me this song. This song is made, and he wants me to rap in it. He is shooting for the song in the next two days. I have gotten this opportunity to sing this song, and he has also asked me if I want to rap in this song. So, we will see."
The video then shows Honey Singh listening to the track to figure out a rap for the same. “We will have to come up with a rap for the song," he notes, followed by a video of him collaborating with his team to craft the rap lyrics on the spot.
In the documentary, Salman Khan also shares his perspective revealing why Honey Singh was the perfect fit for the track. He said, “I was shooting for Bhaijaan in Hyderabad, and I had this thought, so I gave it to Honey. He went to the studio, and in half an hour, he finished the rap. Then I requested Honey to come and be in the song with us. It’s a cool song for kids."
Meanwhile, Netflix’s documentary 'Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous' delves into Honey Singh’s rise to stardom, fall from the spotlight, and inspiring comeback.
