Salman Khan recently shared in a chargesheet filed by the Mumbai police that he believes gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is behind the firing incident that took place outside his Mumbai home on April 14. The actor said that Bishnoi tried to kill him as well as his family. In the lengthy chargesheet, he even shared that he and his family have been receiving threats from the gangster and his gang.

Salman Khan’s statement in chargesheet

The country woke up to the horrifying news of gunshots being fired outside Salman's Bandra, Mumbai, home in the wee hours of April 14. Ever since the incident, the Mumbai police have been investigating the case and recording several statements.

The latest update in the case is that Salman has shared details about the incident and also stated in a 1,735-page chargesheet that he believes gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his goons are behind the attack.

According to India Today, the chargesheet, which was filed earlier this month by the Mumbai police, has on record Salman’s statements about the incident. The actor said that he heard something that sounded like firecrackers in the wee hours of April 14 outside his house.

"I heard a cracker-like sound. Then, at around 4.55 am, the police bodyguard said that two people on a bike had fired from a weapon at the Galaxy Apartment's first-floor balcony. There had been attempts to hurt me and my family prior to this as well. I have learned from social media that Lawrence Bishnoi has taken responsibility for the attack. So, I believe that it is the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who has carried out the firing on my balcony," the statement read.

Salman also shared that the Bishnoi brothers, Lawrence and Anmol, had openly talked about the attack.

The Salman Khan gun firing incident case

On April 14, two bike-borne men fired gunshots outside Salman's home, Galaxy Apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. Later, two accused were arrested from Gujarat, with six more being traced to the firing case.

Meanwhile, the chargesheet filed by the crime branch of the Mumbai police shocked the fans when it revealed that a bounty of Rs 25 lakh was set to kill Salman in an assassination style similar to that of singer Sidhu Moosewala. Reports also suggested that the perpetrators were hatching a plan to acquire modern weapons and firearms for the assassination.
