After a no-show in Eid 2024, Salman Khan made sure to give his fans an Eidi they had been waiting for. After six months since his last release, Tiger 3, the superstar has announced his upcoming project titled Sikandar, and the curtain will come to life on Eid 2025. The just-announced film reunites Salman with Sajid Nadiadwala and marks his first outing with AR Murugadoss. He took to his social media pages to announce Sikandar.
Salman Khan announces Sikandar for Eid 2025
The simple poster just features the title, and it's also revealed that Salman plays the titular role in the film. While sharing the poster, the Dabangg star asked his fans to watch Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan this Eid and meet again next Eid with Sikandar. In his post, he wished everyone "Eid Mubarak!"

High-budget action entertainer in the works
In a high-budget action entertainer set to premiere during the 2025 Eid weekend, a source had earlier told Pinkvilla that Nadiadwala had enlisted the services of Murugadoss to direct Salman. For some time now, the superstar and the producer have been talking about the possibility of collaborating. According to an insider, Salman was the first name that sprung to mind when Nadiadwala and AR discussed the project. The superstar gave an immediate yes when the producer approached him about the film, and production will begin in 2024 on a worldwide action entertainer.
The source also told the entertainment portal that the most ambitious film by Nadiadwala, yet to be named, will be shot in Portugal and other European nations, with certain portions in India. The budget is a whopping Rs. 400 crore. All the necessary pieces fell into place earlier in the year during the meetings, so production could begin on the film without delay. He prioritised the Murugadoss project over all the others since it was the most exciting script he had received in the past year.
Ambitious schedule and collaboration
Starting in the summer of 2024 and continuing until the year's end at multiple global locations, the film will have a marathon schedule. The insider said that Salman and Nadiadwala are planning to elevate their collaboration to a new level, calling it their biggest yet.
