Salman Khan has recently returned to Mumbai after filming in Hyderabad to form Sikandar. Monday marked the beginning of the Mumbai leg for director AR Murugadoss and the supporting cast, following the completion of the exhaustive Hyderabad schedule in mid-November. According to Mid Day, the superstar-director team started filming a train fight sequence yesterday, the same day Khan arrived, which is believed to be one of the most ambitious scenes in the action flick.
Rumour has it that a Borivali studio has constructed a detailed set of a train. The action sequence reportedly spent months in pre-production because director Murugadoss wanted it to be a memorable scene from the film, drawing comparisons to his work in Ghajini (2008) and Holiday (2014).
A source told the tabloid that this scene is massive in scale. Salman's character confronts a group of villains and engages in intense, violent violence. The director gave the action choreographer explicit instructions to make it violent and retaliatory. On Wednesday night, Salman filmed the scene with a mere thirty spectators. Separately, Murugadoss filmed the scenes with large crowds (about 350 people) on Tuesday.
Team members are not staying put for extended periods of time in the same area for security reasons. The crew will head to the next location as soon as the celebrity finishes filming in the Borivali studio on Thursday.
The source continued by saying that the shooting will go on at various sites around the city until the end of January.
Earlier, talking about the songs in the film, a source had told Pinkvilla that Salman, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Murugadoss' primary goal in creating Sikandar was to compose a joyful record in time for the 2025 Eid release. Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna filmed two dance routines for the film earlier this month, with the festivals of Eid and Holi serving as backdrops.
Khan plays a merciless businessman who undergoes a transformation upon witnessing the pervasive corruption in the nation in Sikandar, which co-stars Rashmika Mandanna.
