Varun Dhawan and Atlee's film Baby John is one of the most awaited releases of this year. The film was earlier set for a theatrical release in May this year, however, the release was postponed to December 25, 2024. The latest update on the Kalees directorial is that Salman Khan has reportedly come on board for a special appearance in Baby John. The Bollywood superstar will be seen in the film, which also stars Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi.

According to Peepingmoon, Salman Khan's cameo appearance details in Baby John have been kept under wraps. However, it is expected that a mass action sequence will be specifically written and designed for the superstar. Varun will be a part of this action sequence with Salman. It has been reported that the sequence will be shot by July-end or August, depending on weather conditions.
For the uninitiated, the principal photography of Bbay John has been completed. But a song and Salman's action sequence with Varun is left to be shot. Last week, Dhawan made an official announcement about the film's new release date.
Sharing a fresh poster of his film, Varun took to his Instagram handle and wrote, "Christmas this year just got merrier. Brace yourselves for Baby John releasing on December 25th (sic)." The actor had earlier also mentioned that Baby John is one of the hardest shoots he has ever been on.
He posted his photo from the set of Atlee's film and penned, "BABYJOHN -day 70 Filming relentlessly till the sun didn’t rise and then also our unit kept going. One of the hardest shoots Iv been on#grind (sic)."
Salman Khan's upcoming projects
Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman Khan has no full-fledged theatrical release this year. His upcoming movie is Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The film is scheduled to hit the big screen on Eid 2025. Actress Rashmika Mandanna will be seen alongside Khan in the movie.
